Rose Hanbury is a former model and current Marchioness of Cholmondeley. She is married to David George Philip Cholmondeley, the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, and the couple share three children: twin boys, Alexander and Oliver, and a daughter, Iris.
Rose and David tied the knot back in 2009 at Chelsea Town Hall.
A Marquess is the second highest grade of peerage, after Dukes, and is pronounced Mar-kwiss. Meanwhile, a Marchioness, pronounced Marsh-on-ess, is the wife of a Marquess.
Where is Rose now?
Rose lives in Houghton Hall in Norfolk, which has 106 rooms. It was built in the 1700s for Sir Robert Walpole, and was inherited by David in 1990, following the death of his father. Professionally, David goes by the name David Rocksavage.
Rose is a former model who was represented by Storm Models, the agency known for discovering Kate Moss. The Marchioness shares pictures from her modeling days from time to time on social media. In a 2016 Instagram post, Rose shared a picture of herself with actress Amanda Seyfried from a Vogue Magazine shoot.
However, Rose has not just worked as a model, but took on the role of a researcher for Conservative MP Michael Gove for a short period of time.
Her connection to the Royal Family explored
It appears that Rose actually has several connections to the Royal Family, both through her relatives, and her own friendships.
Rose’s paternal grandmother, Lady Elizabeth Lambert, was a bridesmaid at the Queen’s wedding to Prince Philip in 1947, according to Hello! Magazine.
Her and her husband, David, attended the wedding of William and Kate in 2011, and the two couples teamed up to host a fundraising gala for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices at Houghton Hall in 2016.
