Slow Horses star Rosalind Eleazar has spilled the beans on Fool Me Once’s Harlan Coben’s next Netflix series.

The much-loved stage and screen actress is set to play the lead role of Detective Kat Donovan in Missing You, Coben’s next mystery thriller adaptation, alongside other stars including Richard Armitage, Sir Lenny Henry, and Inside No. 9’s Steve Pemberton.

Missing You is currently in the midst of filming, and is expected to be released sometime either in late 2024 or early 2025.

Speaking with virginradio.co.uk and other press on the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet, Eleazar - who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Louisa Guy in Slow Horses - shared: “[Missing You] has got nothing to do with Fool Me Once, but it’s the next one of those [dramas].”

The actress then revealed she’d been working on the show for three months, and still had three months left to go on the production. Teasing the drama while referring back to Coben’s previous Netflix shows, she added: “They’re great, the twists in the plot.

“But this one’s slightly different,” she continued. “It sort of follows a woman, and it’s almost like a love story, which is quite unusual for his sort of style. But it’s quite a tender and emotional story.”

Missing You’s official synopsis reads: “Eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan's fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she's never heard from him since.

“Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh's reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.”

The show was the first of two of Coben’s novels which Netflix revealed it would be adapting into TV series after Fool Me Once's success in January 2024, the second being Run Away.

Last night (12th May)’s BAFTA TV Awards celebrated a stellar year in UK and global TV. Highlights of the show included Happy Valley’s Sarah Lancashire tearfully accepting her Best Actress award after the show’s final series aired last year, comedian Joe Lycett’s hilarious acceptance speech which he made while dressed as Elizabeth I, and the slightly awkward moment when hosts Rob and Romesh had to receive an award themselves.
