Great British Bake Off’s Chigs is one of the three contestants through to this year’s hotly-anticipated finale.

The 40-year-old baker will go head-to-head against Giuseppe Dell’Anno and Crystelle Pereira in the last episode of the 2021 series next Tuesday.

Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will no doubt put the trio through their paces, with a carrot cake signature, a Belgian technical, and a cake good enough for a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on the menu.

Want to know a bit more about Chigs? We’ve got you covered.

What is Chigs’ real name and is he married?

Leicestershire native Chigs is relatively new to the world of baking, having started his journey at the start of the first lockdown in 2020.

The business manager goes by a nickname on the Channel 4 show, with his real name being Will Chirag.

Chigs has certainly won the hearts of the nation, with many wondering whether or not he is married.

While the contestant has kept his love life firmly under wraps on social media, it does appear that he is single.

When Chigs is not baking, he likes to spend time with his nephews who make regular appearances on his Instagram.

It was revealed that Chigs had made it through to the final during Patisserie Week, which saw Jurgen sent home.

Addressing the news, the finalist enthused: ‘So that’s me in the final – who’d have thought it? Not me that’s for sure.

‘What a rollercoaster of a week! It was definitely the hardest and most challenging week so far.’

He added: ‘Thank you so much for all of your kind words of support. It means so much to me.’

Great British Bake Off airs Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4.
