BBC The One Show viewers refuse to believe Twiggy's age after she appeared on the programme tonight. BBC stars Roman Kemp and Lauren Laverne welcomed the former model onto the show for an interview on Tuesday night - with fans left swooning over her ageless appearance this evening.

Twitter user Imran said: "Wow awesome good afternoon BBC TheOneShow." Honest John said: "#TheOneShow Twiggy was born in Neasden in 1949. Two years after I was born in Neasden. Never met her though." Ian said: "Twiggy someone from my era."

Elizabeth said: " #TheOneShow Can't believe she's 74. Looks amazing!" Mark said: "Twiggy giving Aggie from How Clean is Your Home realness. #TheOneShow " Paboy said: "Twiggy looking great without resorting to face lifts and fillers etc."

Alan said: "Watching #Twiggy on @BBCOne What a treasure she is, gracious. #TheOneShow (I never ever watch this.)." Another said: "Oh, how sweet of cuddly Roman Kemp. I much prefer Menier Chocolat Factory. It lends a certain Parisian sophistication"

Talking about the new music called on her life, which has been written by Ben Elton, Twiggy said: "People have been approaching us probably for over 20 years about doing it. But they either weren't the right people or we didn't like what they were doing. And then probably about eight years ago, Ben who's a great mate.

"We were out at dinner and I think we were telling him about somebody who'd come through about doing my life. And he said, 'Well, I should do it'. And I said, 'Really? Are you sure?' And then we've kind of didn't really talk about it. And then you know, he's always so busy and he did We Will Rock You.

"But I was so honoured that he wanted to do it because I think he's a brilliant writer. "
