Bradley Walsh is on telly a lot. And tonight, the host of The Chase, Beat the Chasers, the new Blankety Blank and star of The Larkins and Doctor Who, explained why.

On tonight's The One Show, TV presenter and actor Walsh was a guest talking about his new role in Darling Buds of May reboot, The Larkins.

He and host Rylan were already causing chaos with their East End/Essex banter as the show started and Rylan's co-host, Ronan Keating asked the 61-year-old former Rolls Royce engineer why he was on TV so much.

Last weekend Walsh was on prime time BBC One and ITV at the same time with Beat The Chasers and Blankety Blank.

"You are all over the airwaves at the moment, and rightly so," the Irish singer said. "It must be like having to choose your favourite child?"

Bradley said: "You both know how this works, you've got to set the record straight her, you make Blankety Blank in five days in one part of the year, you make Beat the Chasers in seven days in another, and then your schedulers decide 'I know what we'll do! It's mad.

"It's not my fault, I do apologise everyone."

Last month Bradley, along with John Bishop and Jodie Whittaker were spotted filming Doctor Who in Grange Gardens in Cardiff and stopped for a coffee at The Hideout.

Zara Ali, the owner of The Hideout in Grange Gardens said the television crew unloaded their equipment around midday with the famous faces appearing on the scene.

"I thought they were just taking a few shots of the TARDIS, but no - Bradley Walsh came, John Bishop and Jodie Whittaker," she recalled.
