Following the Welsh Government's recent announcement in relation to the introduction of NHS COVID, the club and Rodney Parade have engaged with the Welsh Government in order to clarify the position with Rodney Parade.

Following a period of consultation, Welsh Government have confirmed that the new legislation in Wales will mean that people aged 18 and over who are attending terraced stadiums with more than 4,000 people, such as Rodney Parade, must present one of the following in order to attend:

When does the requirement for Covid Passes take effect?

Our fixture at home to Carlisle United on Tuesday 19th October will be the first Newport County AFC fixture at requires the Covid Pass.

Supporters attending tonight’s Papa John's Trophy fixture, at home to Arsenal FC U21s, are not required to present a COVID Pass.

How will the COVID pass work?

Supporters are encouraged to get prepared and obtain a form of COVID Pass at the earliest opportunity.

On arrival to turnstiles, supporters will be spot checked to evidence one of the approved COVID passes. Supporters that are unable to provide a COVID pass will not be able to access the Stadium.

Supporters who are fully vaccinated can prepare by signing up for their NHS COVID pass via a computer, tablet or mobile phone HERE. https://gov.wales/nhs-covid-pass-prove-your-vaccination-status…

Supporters who are aged 18 and over and are fully vaccinated but do not have the ability to obtain a digital passport – as well as those who do not have photographic ID - can request a paper COVID pass. Please note that supporters should wait FIVE days after their final dose before requesting the paper copy.

This service is available seven days a week, between 9am and 5pm. To request a paper NHS COVID pass, call 0300 303 5667. GPs cannot provide this service.

What if I am attending from outside the UK?

EU Citizens will be required to either provide an EU Covid Certificate or a negative lateral flow test. It is anticipated that when international regulations change, additional countries vaccination evidence will be accepted.

To say up to date with acceptable evidence, please visit the Welsh Government website.

What if I have Medical Circumstances preventing full vaccination?

At present, we understand that there may be people who are not fully vaccinated due to official medical exemptions. There is no further information at present regarding this, however we will advise further when we have full guidance from Welsh Government.

Supporters can evidence their lateral flow tests via the “Report a COVID-19 Rapid Lateral Flow Test Result http://GOV.UK site.” These results are valid for up to 48 Hours.
