Despite making vows to one another at the altar just moments after meeting for the first time, the groom found himself eyeing up some of his other female co-stars. The blushing bride also left an impression with viewers Down Under for shrieking at the top of her voice on several occasions. Between the time they walk down the aisle to their first commitment ceremony, it seemed no relationship could be salvaged. Coco's marriage to Sam was her second after she had been married previously but it didn't work out between her and her ex-husband. After only six months, she decided to call it quits as she felt she was coming second behind her mother-in-law. She admitted before committing herself to the show she had put her career before her relationships in the past but was willing to put herself first. "Your job is never going to wake up and tell you it doesn't love you anymore," she said in her profile.

Before Sam starred on the show, he had been single for three years due to having "high standards" when it came to finding a partner. The fashion designer had enjoyed a few long-term relationships in the past but nothing which had stuck long enough for him to walk down the aisle. It would have therefore been devastating to him to see his romance with Coco come to an end and with none other than someone he knew outside of the experiment. Cameron and Sam knew each other before they both took part, with an unnamed source explaining: "[They knew each other] from back home. "But they actually had beef, they didn't get along. Where are Married At First Sight Australia's Coco and Sam now? Unfortunately, despite trying to continue a relationship on the outside world, Coco and Cameron's relationship also came to an end. In an interview, Cameron explained: "There was a conversation to see if we could come back to the experiment together, but it just wasn't the case. "What made it hard to pursue that afterwards was that we were right in the midst of Covid and in different states. I was going to Queensland and she was staying in Sydney," he told 9Entertainment. His wife in the series, Samantha Harvey also confirmed this as she said: "I found out that Cam continued on with Coco in the outside world but that didn’t last very long."
