Coronation Street confirms Justin's fate after acid attack

Coronation Street tonight (March 27) revealed Justin’s fate following the devastating acid attack that left Ryan writhing in agony and facially scarred.

Justin (Andrew Still), who has been stalking Daisy, planned to throw acid at her on her wedding day.

"You think everybody wants you because you’re so perfect, don’t you? Nobody is going to want you after this," Justin said as he approached her with a glass of clear liquid. He then threw the acid.



But Ryan, who was acting as Daisy’s chauffeur for the day, stepped in to save Daisy and subsequently took the full force of the attack. As Ryan screamed in agony and Daisy cried on the floor, Justin fled the scene.

Daisy then rang 999 and, following their instructions, dragged a tortured Ryan into the shower and sprayed him with cold water while cutting the acid-soaked shirt off his back. The wedding guests, in the dark about what had actually happened, fretted about where the bride had gone.

In reality, Daisy was experiencing flashbacks about her first ever meeting with Justin in A&E. DS Swain tried to ask Daisy questions regarding the attack but Daisy turned on her, criticising her and the police for their lack of action. She also told the detective how many times she had tried to report Justin to the police.

"I have reported him so many times, I have called your lot and been to the station and made statements. I told you he was dangerous and nothing happened. You did nothing," Daisy said.

DS Swain promised that she would make up for that and would find Justin and arrest him, but Daisy wasn’t convinced.

"Why don’t you tell that to Ryan, I’m sure that will make everything alright," Daisy said.

At the hospital, Daisy saw Justin watching her from his car. She shouted at him through the window and demanded that he get out of the car, but he refused and tried to drive away. Daisy asked why he did it and Justin told her that it was because he loved her.

"I thought that maybe if you looked different, the shallow people wouldn’t want to be with you. Just me. And I’d look after you properly. I’d make you feel beautiful and special," he said, attempting to justify his actions.

In order to prevent him from driving away, she told him he’d proven himself worthy of her love. Justin fell for it and got out of the car, only for Daisy to attack him and tell him how much she hated him. She punched him repeatedly, but was dragged off by the police, who then arrested Justin for GBH.

Back inside, Daisy told a bandaged up Ryan that she was sorry. Ryan, however, held no resentment towards Daisy despite his horrific injuries and the long road to recovery facing him.
