Those in San Francisco were delighted with Sunday's play-off win over the Dallas Cowboys, but things turned ugly back in Texas.

The 49ers beat the Cowboys 19-12 at Levi's Stadium, and fans in the Bay Area celebrated long into the night as their side is heading back to another Championship game. But there was the opposite of celebrations over in Dallas, as fights broke out following a watch party at AT&T Stadium.

There were violent scenes at AT&T, with footage circling online of punches being thrown amongst a crowd of people leaving the venue. Security were called to the scene, but police have confirmed that no arrests were made.

It's common to see teams put on big watch parties for fans when there are games of significant importance, but the Cowboys may think twice in the future after Sunday's incident. Punches were thrown while thee were some nasty scraps, with one fan even filmed laying on the ground.

It was an extremely frustrating game for the Cowboys, who once again made a mess of their final drive as they went in search of a game-saving touchdown. Just like last season in the play-offs, the Cowboys had seconds on the clock while they attempted to go downfield, but poor management saw them leave the field with nothing.

It was initially looking good for the Cowboys, as they scored the opening touchdown of the game, although the extra point was once again missed by kicker Brett Maher. But their offense couldn't break through again, and an injury to Tony Pollard really hampered their chances.

The 49ers went on to win, and will face the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game on Sunday. Cowboys fans are left frustrated for another season, and have been without any Super Bowl since the 1995 campaign.

And the frustration showed before their fate had even been sealed, as fights broke out in a different part of the AT&T Stadium too. Before the Cowboys had even been eliminated, fists were flying and security were scrambling to deal with the incident.

The Cowboys have a lot to sort out in the off-season, mainly with their kicking situation, and they'll also assess their offense. Their defence is one of the best in the league, but if they're to stick with quarterback Dak Prescott, he could do with some more options.
