Dua Lipa, 27, and boyfriend Romain Gavras, 41, make red carpet debut at Cannes

Dua Lipa and new boyfriend Romain Gavras could not have looked more in love as they made their very stylish red carpet debut as a couple at Cannes Film Festival.

The Don’t Start Now hitmaker, 27, cosied up to the filmmaker, 41, at the screening of Omar La Fraise (The King Of Algiers), weeks after confirming their romance.

Despite keeping their relationship pretty private so far, the new couple made no secret of it on Friday night and packed on the PDA.

Dua looked gorgeous as ever in a black satin gown, flashing some skin through the cut-out details.

The Celine by Hedi Slimane gown also had a high leg slit and Dua added to her height with a pair of strappy stilettoes.

She wore her raven locks in a chic up-do, with trendy bangs falling down over her forehead.

For make-up, the New Rules singer kept it glam with a nude lip and smokey eye, completing her look with silver jewellery.

Meanwhile, boyfriend Romain – who is Rita Ora’s ex – looked dapper in a black tux.

The French director was full of affection for his own leading lady, placing a loving arm around her waist as they posed for cameras.

Despite all the commotion around them, he couldn’t keep his eyes off her – and who can blame him.

Dua couldn’t keep her hands off her man either, holding hands and beaming as she cuddled into his chest.

The Grammy-winning musician were first seen in public together in March, as they were seen leaving Saint Laurent’s Paris Fashion Week show in New York just days after it was reported they were dating.

A source has also claimed they’ve been growing close for a while now.

Speaking to The Sun, an insider previously said: ‘Dua and Romain have been quietly getting to know each other for several months.

‘They have been enjoying spending time together.

‘The pair met each other’s close circles over the festive period and have lots in common.’

Dua is also said to be thankful to have met someone who understands what she does for a living.

The source added: ‘Dua knows how important it is to find someone who understands her industry.

‘She feels Romain totally gets it. They’re both really creative people.’

Her romance with Romain follows Dua’s split from Anwar Hadid in 2021.

Dua ended her relationship with the model, 23, after two years of dating.

Meanwhile, Romain dated musician Rita, 32 – who is now married to Taika Waititi – for six months before their split was confirmed in March 2021.

‘Rita and Romain split up months ago because of difficulties with their respective work commitments. They remain close friends,’ a spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline at the time.
