Ed Sheeran announces surprise birth of second baby

Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn have welcomed a second child.

The Photograph singer made the announcement to fans on Instagram by saying they are now a "family of 4".

The couple kept news of their pregnancy hidden and have now revealed they have a new baby girl.

The 31-year-old said that he is "over the moon" to have a second daughter.

Ed uploaded a sweet picture of a tiny pair of gorgeous two knitted booties in what looks like a Moses basket to tell followers his happy news.

He captioned the pic for his 38 million fans: "Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x"

Fans were delighted with the announcement, with thousands leaving messages of congratulations to the happy parents.

Among those who commented, one wrote: "Congratulations!! Incredible news"

While another added: "Yayyyyy!!!! Another girl like you wanted"

A third wrote: "Wow! Congratulations Ed and Cherry! So happy you have been blessed with another child!"

Ed recently shared a rare photo with Cherry as they celebrated her 30th birthday.

The star could be seen cuddling up to his other half, who he has known since he was at school, in a hammock on a sunny day.

Cherry is seen looking lovingly at her childhood sweetheart she holds a bottle of of something nice to celebrate her birthday with.

Sharing the photo on Instagram, Ed captioned it: “HBD to ma baby mama. 30 looks good on you.”

Fans were quick to comment on the post with many branding the couple “adorable” and “cute”.
