Eddie Howe's team sheet as he makes five Newcastle changes against Brentford

Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe rung the changes for the Magpies' home clash with Brentford.
Howe made FIVE changes to his side after three successive defeats in the Premier League to Man City, Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion. Howe dropped Miguel Almiron and Alexander Isak while Joelinton was missing with an injury and Sandro Tonali was not risked.
Howe started with Nick Pope in goal while Kieran Trippier skippered the team against the Bees. Sven Botman returned from an ankle injury meaning Matt Targett was also axed.

Dan Burn was restored to his left-back slot with Sean Longstaff, Elliot Anderson and Bruno Guimaraes making up the midfield. In attack, Almiron was benched with Callum Wilson, Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon starting as the front three.
For Brentford, Nathan Collins came in, with Kevin Schade dropping to the bench after the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth before the international break.
Neal Maupay, who has rejoined his old club from Everton, is on the bench.
