Fred Sirieix praises 'inspiration' daughter as she wins yet another gold medal

Fred Sirieix is the proudest dad once again after his daughter Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix has won yet another gold medal at the European Championships in Rome.

Andrea, 17, is a champion diver and recently represented England in the Commonwealth Games, earning a gold medal.

She’s continuing her winning streak, winning at the women’s 10m platform event at the European Championships in Rome – and scoring her first individual title.

Naturally, First Dates star Fred, 50, was over the moon, sharing a string of photos of Andrea and writing: ‘Andrea just won 🥇 at the European Championships in Rome #diving #10m #platform #goAndrea

‘Nail bitting [sic] stuff once again! What a great last dive! My little 🦆 has nerves of steel ❤️ Well done my love 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 we are so proud of you. You are an inspiration and a ray of sunshine x’.

Andrea scored 76.80 for her final dive, with an incredible total of 333.60.

It’s been an emotional few weeks for Fred, after he was left in tears when Andrea won gold at the Commonwealth Games.

They saw Andrea and her partner Noah Williams triumph in the mixed discipline event as their fifth and final dive earned them 74.88 for a total of 333.06.

Taking to Twitter, Fred congratulated his daughter alongside a shot of them both and a look at the leaderboard.

He tweeted at the time: ‘It’s gold in the mixed #diving #10m #platform #synchro I’m crying! Andrea and Noah well done to you both (sic)’

Alongside a clip of their dive, he added: ‘What a way to end #commonwealthgames’

Fred shares Andrea with his ex, Alex Spendolini.

While he largely keeps his current relationship out of the spotlight, in 2020, he revealed he had proposed to his longtime girlfriend, who he refers to as Fruitcake.
