How is Peter Andre doing?
PETER Andre has left fans concerned following a troubling update on his health on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
He was due to perform in Grease The Musical at the Opera House in Manchester but was a no-show after he admitted to feeling "sick."
What is the latest on Peter Andre?
Mere hours before he was set to appear on stage, the Mysterious Girl singer confessed he's the "most ill he's been in the past three years" on social media.
In total, he has missed two show nights.
The I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star was also devastated to miss out on his son Junior's music launch on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
The 16-year-old is following in his dad's footsteps by taking on a music career.
Junior took to Instagram and teased the imminent release of his debut single after signing a record deal with Columbia Records UK, that also represents huge artists in the likes of Harry Styles.
Unable to show his support, the dad-of-four released an apology to his son on social media.
"Good luck tonight son. Sorry I can't be with you but show them what you've got", Peter wrote in a story shared on his Instagram account.
In a voice recording revealed by his daughter Princess, Peter painfully stated: "I'm supposed to be going to Manchester to do Grease but I'm so sick, I don't know what to do."
His road manager Carl Machin eventually urged him to rest saying: "I know what you're saying and I applaud you for it but one you look ill, two you sound awful, and three you have to sing live vocals."
"And also you're going to be close to cast members, you've got to think how you'd feel if you gave two or three cast members what you've got and they have to have time off."
Further encouraged by Princess, aged 14, Peter took their advice.
As of Friday, October 22, 2021, Peter is said to be battling a "mystery bug" by several media outlets.
But with the Covid pandemic still being a topic of worldwide concern, he is determined to get to the bottom of his health issues.
The 48-year-old awaits Covid test results after doing a lateral flow test which has come back negative.
His daughter Princess encouraged him to do a PCR test, after he accidentally walked in on Instagram live.
"He is really frustrated and keen to find out if it is Covid something else", a source told The Sun.
"He's upset about letting down his fans but he knows he has to listen to his body."
Along with the worry that he may be battling coronavirus, Peter has said that he also misses his parents.
This can only bring back painful memories as this would not be the singer's first run-in with coronavirus.
Peter tested positive with Covid-19 in January, 2021, after feeling "extremely tired and unwell."
His wife Emily MacDonagh, who also caught Covid in June, 2020, reflected on Peter's experience with the illness in March, 2021, during an appearance on Loose Women.
The NHS doctor mentioned that it was "quite a stressful time" for the couple.
"I think we knew less than we know now", she said.
"I kept away from the children completely and luckily, I recovered completely."
Peter, however, felt "quite anxious" during his unlucky experience with coronavirus.
"When Pete had it a bit more recently, I felt more relaxed. He didn't, going through it himself, he felt quite anxious."
"He's healthy, he does a lot of exercise, but he was still really worried, I understand that."
Peter was said to have recovered from Covid at the end of January, 2021, and thus returned to recording studios to create music.
