I'm A Celeb producers 'secretly empty the dunny on campmates' behalf'

SNOOCHIE Shy has revealed the I’m A Celebrity crew help campmates clean out the dunny.

The task is one of the show’s most hated chores but the Radio 1 Xtra DJ, 29, said this year’s cohort had a little help.

So much so, Snoochie said she didn’t mind being on “poo patrol”. The MTV host said: “I was doing poo patrol, I loved poo patrol. I actually thought before coming in, I might have to drain the poo myself, but luckily didn't have to do that.

“I just had to put the privy bowl thing into the cupboard. And then, someone comes and takes it out. I thought, before I went in there, that I'd have to drain it and see turds just flying all over the place. But luckily, I didn't have to do that.”

In 2017 Rebekah Vardy and Jamie Lomas had a huge row over dunny duty in the Australian jungle.

Speaking after becoming the third celebrity evicted from Gwrych Castle, Snoochie went on: “It is the easiest chore to do, because you do poo patrol, and then you sweep the stairs, and then you might sweep up the camp a bit. But it's done and dusted after that.

“I had a little technique for poo patrol anyway. I made sure that the lid went on, whilst it was inside, just so I didn't pull it out, and see stuff. So whilst the lid is on, get out, and the door closed.”

Despite the helping hand, Snoochie has refuted the claims this year’s show has been easy on the celebs. They spent a weekend away from the castle, in cottages across North Wales, during Storm Arwen. And critics have said the break made the experience ‘soft’.

Snoochie said: “I've never been in the jungle, so I don't know what the jungle experience was like, but I think, in Wales...I wouldn't know what to say really. The isolation for me personally, and for a lot of us, actually was tough, because we had to leave everyone.

"And we'd been with each other, for that amount of time. We'd formed bonds, and then you're pulled from it, and then you can't speak to anyone. You're just on your own, for those days that you're isolating.

“I started crying when we had to leave, because it's just going back on your own again. You still don't have any communication, you're on your own. You can't speak to anyone, can't speak to your loved ones. You actually are excited to go back, and reunite with your campmates.”
