Johnny Depp is not dating his lawyer Camille Vasquez despite internet rumours

The Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard defamation case is currently in its fifth week after taking a ten-day break due to scheduling issues.

Johnny Depp sued his ex-wife for $50 million over an op-ed she published in the Washington Post, but the piece didn’t mention the actor by name.

Heard has countersued for $100 million and both stars are testifying at the Fairfax County Court in Virginia.

The case resumed on Monday (May 16th) and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor’s lawyer Camille Vasquez is now cross-examining Amber.

Camille Vasquez is a 37-year-old lawyer who has played a prominent role in the Virginia courtroom.

Her Brown Rudnick profile reveals she is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group.

She specialises in “plaintiff-side defamation suits” and also has experience in contract disputes, business-related torts and employment-related claims.

She is now based in Orange County and was an attorney at a national firm in Los Angeles before Brown Rudnick.

Camille was born in California and her nationality is American.

However, her surname Vasquez is of Spanish origin and her Brown Rudnick profile reveals that she speaks fluent Spanish.

Many people who have been following the trial are convinced that she is of Mexican heritage, but she has not confirmed this.

The 37-year-old gained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School.

She also took the bar exam in California and was listed on Best Lawyers’ “Ones to Watch” in 2021.

Camille shot to internet fame when rumours emerged that she was dating her client, Johnny Depp.

However, sources close to the lawyer have told TMZ that this is just speculation and there is no truth to it.

Many jumped to the conclusion that they were an item due to their interactions in the courtroom, but these rumours were always baseless.

The pair’s relationship is strictly professional and friendly, and according to TMZ, Camille is taken.

An insider revealed that she has been dating a British man who works in real estate for a few months.
