Louis Theroux Interviews star Bear Grylls' wife, real name and net worth

Louis Theroux gets an insight inside another celebrity's life as his BBC series continues on Tuesday (November 15) evening. Fresh from meeting Stormzy, Dame Judi Dench and Yungblud, the investigative journalist sits down with Bear Grylls in the latest instalment.

Bear Grylls – whose full name is Edward Michael Grylls – is a 48-year-old adventurer and television presenter from London. He first rose to fame after embarking on a number of daring adventures, and became widely known for his Man Vs Wild TV show, which ran from 2006 until 2011.

Over the years, he has presented and featured in programmes including Running Wild with Bear Grylls and The Island with Bear Grylls. In 2009, he was appointed the Chief Scout of the United Kingdom and Overseas Territories at age 35, making him the youngest-ever to be awarded the position.

In terms of his personal life, Bear, who has an estimated net worth of £20.5 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, is married to Shara Cannings Knight. The pair tied the knot in 2000 and have three sons together - Jesse (born in 2003), Marmaduke (2006) and Huckleberry (2009).

Tonight's instalment of Louis Theroux Interviews sees the presenter go off-grid as he catches up with Bear Grylls. The pair travel to Bear's private island off the coast of Wales where he is staying for the summer with his wife, Shara.

Louis later accompanies Bear on trips to a Scout troop in South London and a Marine reserve training camp, before the pair head to their final destination in Devon where Bear is guest of honour at his own family adventure festival.
