Madonna makes fans cringe with latest 'embarrassing' lingerie pictures
Madonna has attracted criticism after posting "embarrassing" provocative photos that have been compared to porn.
The 63-year-old is no stranger to controversy, with recent antics including posing as Marilyn Monroe in a photoshoot - which sparked a backlash on social media last month.
The music icon has now attracted further negativity after sharing a series of photos on Instagram yesterday which show her in lingerie - with some of them including nudity.
The images show the Material Girl singer posing around a bed whilst wearing a bra, thong, fishnet stockings and heels.
In two of the photos, the chart-topping performer can be seen lying on a bed with her left nipple exposed. Another, taken from behind, shows her kneeling in front of the bed, with the thong leaving little to the imagination.
They attracted criticism on the social media platform, with people describing them as "ridiculous" and "very sad" - with both Madonna and the post referred to as "embarrassing."
One person said that the Grammy -winning artist "must've lost her dignity under the bed," whilst another wrote: "Having self respect at this age will suit you better."
Others compared the photos to "pornography," whilst it was also mentioned that her six children could see the photos, with someone writing that they "must be so proud" of her.
And one person said: "Stop showing your a**, we've seen plenty of it with the Sex book and it was brave then. Now it's just classless and it has nothing to do with your age."
Another commented: "Sorry. This isn't edgy, risky, shocking, artsy or unique. It's a desperate cry for attention."
There was however some support for the singer, with one person responding: "She uses art to express herself and kick them barriers down that you all clearly have. I don't understand the shock and why everyone is so ashamed."
