Manchester City are looking to make it two wins from two in their Champions League group when they welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Etihad tonight.

City opened their Champions League campaign with a dominant 4-0 victory in Sevilla last week.

Familiar faces await Erling Haaland in tonights fixture, with the Norwegian striker facing his former club for the first time since he moved from the Bundesliga to the Premier League during the summer transfer window.

Pep Guardiola’s side have made a solid start to the season with four wins from their opening six league fixtures, whilst Dortmund have also notched up four victories from six to open up their Bundesliga season.

Here is your brief ahead of tonight’s Champions League showdown.

What time does Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund start?

Manchester City’s Group G meeting with Dortmund will kick off tonight (September 14) at 8pm.

The game will be held at the Etihad stadium.

How to watch Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund on TV

The blockbuster showdown will be available for fans to watch live on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport Ultimate.

Coverage of the match will start at 7pm on both channels.

A live stream will also be available to BT customers who will be able to view the match online via the BT Sport website and app.

BT Sport have the exclusive rights to show live Champions League matches in the UK.

Fans without BT will be able to purchase a monthly pass for £25, with BT broadband not required to watch the match on BT’s app and web player.

Full subscription to BT Sport starts from £16 a month, with a package containing BT, Sky and Eurosport available for £41 a month.

What is the team news?

Pep Guardiola has announced that John Stones is fit to face the German side, having picked up a slight niggle in the 1-1 draw away to Aston Villa.

Stones’ defensive colleague Kyle Walker will be absent for tonight’s game, whilst Aymeric Laporte is back in training and should return after the international break having been out since pre-season.

Meanwhile, Dortmund will be without midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud for the trip to Manchester.

And former Manchester City youth team player Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who made the move to Germany in 2020, is ruled out of his Etihad return after dislocating his shoulder in Dortmund’s 1-0 victory over Hoffenheim.
