Martin Clunes' long marriage to a top drama producer
Actor Martin Clunes is well known for playing the title role in popular series Doc Martin, starring in gritty drama Manhunt and appearing on comedy shows like Have I Got News For You.
But Martin - host of the new ITV documentary Islands of the Pacific - is not the only one who is successful in his family with his wife, Philippa Braithwaite, a famous TV producer with many great shows to her name.

The pair have collaborated together on Doc Martin, with Martin playing the lead and Philippa producing, and also on Manhunt where Martin is also the lead and Philippa the producer.
Martin and Philippa have also worked together on the comedy film Staggered and Martin's documentaries like Martin Clunes: A Man and His Dogs and Martin Clunes: Islands of Australia.
Philippa and Martin and she have been married since 1997, with Martin proposing in Hawaii.
They met the same year that Martin divorced his first wife, actress Lucy Aston, and they like to keep their relationship and personal life private.
Martin and Philippa, who currently live on a 130-acre farm in Dorset, met through work and had a small marriage ceremony in London.
Their farm is very busy with four dogs, two cats, 14 horses, chickens, and other animals, which Martin tends to himself.
The couple have one child together, Ellie, who starred in an episode of Doc Martin when she was younger but now has found an equestrian career.
In previous interviews Martin has said that he and Philippa enjoy working together and he is happiest when she is by his side.
Martin was born in London to a successful family, his father Alec Clunes was also a famous actor and he is related to another successful actor, Jeremy Brett.
His father died when he was just eight years old and his TV debut was in BBC's The White Guard. His first regular TV role was playing Nigel Crabtree in the sitcom No Place Like Home.
Once becoming friends with comedian, actor, and writer Harry Enfield, Martin began to star in Harry's work, including Men Behaving Badly which was Martin's breakthrough role.
In 1996 Martin won the BAFTA for Best Comedy Performance and from 2004 played his most well-known role of Doctor Martin in Doc Martin.
Nine series of Doc Martin have aired between 2004 and 2019 with the final series airing later this year. Recently Martin has played DCI Colin Sutton, based on the real-life detective Colin Sutton, in the ITV drama Manhunt.
Martin has appeared in films including Nativity 3: Dude, Where's My Donkey? and Global Heresy. He's also hosted documentaries, from exploring Australian islands to looking at the relationship between humans and horses.
