Men wanted! Time to channel your inner Giovanni Pernice for Strictly Oxford
Charity ballroom competition Strictly Oxford is back on April 2 and apparently male dancer partners are in short supply.
Following the format of the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, the contest allows amateurs to shake off the nerves and take part in seven weeks of free dance lessons before performing at a live show at the Christian Life Centre on Oxford's Cowley Road.
Clearly with a shortage of male participants, organisers Step by Step dance school of Witney are now looking for men willing to channel their inner Giovanni Pernice.
Pro dancer Pernice partnered Rose Ayling-Ellis who lifted the Glitterball trophy on the TV show last month.
Strictly Oxford posted on its Facebook page: "Looking to learn a new skill in 2022? Or to challenge yourself with a charity fundraiser? Then we need you! We are looking for men to partner some of our female participants. No dance experience required!"
