Sir Michael Parkinson joined Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday to discuss his latest book. As he reflected on his career, Michael was joined by his son Mike Parkinson. However, some ITV viewers were concerned about the veteran broadcaster’s appearance.

Susanna and Richard quizzed Michael on his career and the art to interviewing.
He said: “It takes some doing to be frank in an interview, to answer the questions properly and not try to be delicate around certain subjects.
“You’ll be away of that as the interviewer as well. It’s a fascinating subject and it’s not just a question of reading the research, there’s lots of other things that come into it.
“I enjoy watching interviews nowadays especially when they don’t get it right.”
