However, the Belgian is full of belief that the Ibrox club can beat arch-rivals Celtic next weekend.

Rangers ran out 3-1 winners in their latest Premiership encounter against Hibernian today. James Tavernier, Cyriel Dessers and Rabbi Matondo got the goals for the hosts as they leapfrogged Celtic to go back to the top of the table.

Celtic are at Livingston tomorrow, with all attention turning towards Ibrox next Sunday after that game.

Clement is open about the fact his players aren't quite at the top of their form as things stand, however, he is adamant that he is always confident they can defeat any opponent no matter what.

"I'm confident we can win against everybody," the 49-year-old said. "Are we at our best now? No. We've had all those injuries and some players are not yet at their best.

"But I also know that we can win that game; that we have the quality to do that. It's also not the decisive, ending game of the season. We still have eight games to go.

"I'm focussed on the next one, again, and after it's going to be on the next one again. That's going to be the mentality of my players. They understand that's the way. We're only focussed on one thing and that's performance.

"If they perform well, then we have a big chance to get a result. Sometimes it doesn't fall your way, like it did against Motherwell.

"We will keep pushing until the end in all of these eight games. Hopefully also two games in the cup."

Clement confirmed that Oscar Cortes, Danilo and Ryan Jack will all be out of action for the Celtic match.
