Police called to Katie Price's house over 'domestic incident' hours before split

Police were reportedly called to Katie Price’s house over a domestic incident hours before she split from her fiance Carl Woods.

Carl announced the shock split in a video on Instagram on Monday, in which he claimed Katie had admitted to cheating on him. Katie is yet to speak out on the claims.

Amid news of the split, Sussex Police confirmed that a wellness check was carried out.

They told The Sun in a statement: ‘We responded to a report of a domestic incident. Officers attended to conduct a welfare check. Enquiries are ongoing and there is no further information at this stage.’

A source said Katie ‘feared for the safety of her and her children’ but no arrests were made.

They added to The Sun: ‘Carl was furious after discovering texts from another man on Katie’s phone. He’s demanded Katie return her engagement ring but she’s having none of it, and hasn’t even apologised.

‘Things have been rocky between them for a long time, and Katie’s family don’t want him in her life. He’s been increasingly jealous ever since it was revealed she had been texting ex-boyfriend Kris Boyson from daughter Princess’s phone in March.’

Carl, 33, confirmed that he and Katie, 44, are no longer together in a video on Instagram.

He told his followers: ‘So, there’s no easy way for me to say this and to be honest with you, it’s quite embarrassing.

‘But me and Katie are not together anymore. I found out yesterday that Katie cheated on me. She’s admitted that she cheated on me. She slept with somebody else.

‘So yeah, that’s the end of that, I guess. I’m just gonna have to focus on rebuilding myself and get my life back on track, and concentrating on me but that’s done.’

The couple have been together since June 2020 after being introduced by a mutual friend.

The pair got engaged after 10 months of dating and have been trying for a baby together, most recently exploring IVF.

Katie and Carl have also both had large portrait tattoos of each other’s faces inked on their arms during their relationship.

Their split comes just days after they were seen enjoying rides at Lakeside Winter Wonderland with Katie’s two youngest children, Jett, nine, and eight-year-old Bunny, who she shares with ex Kieran Hayler.

Katie, who also has Harvey Price, 20, with former flame Dwight Yorke, and Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, with former husband Peter Andre, had recently travelled to Thailand with Carl on what was reported to be her 12th holiday of the year.

Reps for Katie Price declined to comment. Metro.co.uk has contacted Sussex Police for comment.
