Rangers fans convinced Erling Haaland's message means Erik Botheim's Ibrox bound
Erling Haaland has Rangers fans dreaming of Erik Botheim in a blue shirt with an apparent social media tease.
Football Scotland told how the Light Blues were monitoring the Norwegian striker as a potential target, although he wasn't necessarily their top target.
Now, the 22-year-old has been enjoying some down time with the new Man City striker and it's a comment from the latter that has Gers fans in a tizz.
Replying to a photo of the pair of them soaking up the sun, he wrote: "I'm feeling it."
Those are of course the words from a song the Light Blues adopted last season and played at Ibrox after many of their big wins - including over Haaland's Borussia Dortmund.
Whether or not the world class forward was hinting towards a move to Glasgow, deliberately on the wind up or it's all completely innocent, we don't know.
But some Rangers supporters certainly seem to be taking it as a clue.
One said: "We're feeling it alright big man. Tell us what you're hiding."
Botheim played 44 times for Bodo/Glimt most recently with 21 goals in all competitions scored for the Norwegian champions.
He did join Krasnodar in January but hasn’t featured.
He's now available on a free transfer after ripping up his contract with the Russians following the invasion of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Alfredo Morelos could be going in the opposite direction with Sevilla reportedly ready to test Gers' resolve.
