Reading vs Sunderland LIVE
Hello and welcome to our live blog coverage of Reading vs Sunderland. It's the first two away games for the Black Cats with Tony Mowbray's men staying in the south after tonight's game ahead of Saturday's clash with Watford at Vicarage Road.
The big question tonight is how Sunderland will cope without their goal talisman Ross Stewart, who is currently out injured. The Wearsiders failed to score in the 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough, but Mowbray pointed out that the nature of Stewart's absence - he was injured in the warm-up - meant his side wern't able to plan tactically without him.
Ellis Simms is set to lead the line again, but who Mowbray partners with the Everton loanee will be interesting. Reading have started well under Paul Ince and have won their five home games so far this term, conceding only twice.
James Hunter is at the ground tonight to bring you all the latest as it happens.
