The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced a series of dates in the UK next summer as part of a world stadium tour.

It will be the first time the band has performed in Britain since December 2016, and their first shows with the guitarist John Frusciante since the Leeds/Reading Festival in 2007, following his return two years ago.

Known for such tracks as “Under The Bridge”, “By the Way” and “Give It Away”, the Californian four-piece are one of the biggest rock bands of their generation, having sold more than 70 million records worldwide.

The European leg of the tour will last from the start of June until mid-July next year – here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the UK shows.

When are the UK dates on the Red Hot Chili Peppers tour?

The Chilis are playing three shows in the UK, starting with a show at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester on Wednesday 22 June.

They will then play at the London Stadium on Saturday 25 June, squeezing in a show at Dublin’s Marlay Park on Wednesday 29 June before concluding that leg of the tour on Friday 1 July at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.

Thundercat will support the band for all four shows, with A$AP Rocky joining in Manchester and Andreson. Paak & The Free Nationals playing the other three gigs.

The likes of St Vincent, The Strokes and Beck are among the support acts for the US shows which follow the European tour.

You can get tickets for the three UK shows from Live Nation here, with general sale opening at 10.00am on Friday 15 October.

There is a Live Nation pre-sale beginning at 10.00am on Thursday 14 October, which you can register for here.

A further pre-sale will open from 10.00am from Friday 8 October if fans pre-order the band’s next album, which will be released in 2022, from the official website here.

Tickets for the Dublin show are available from Ticketmaster here.
