Rylan Clark hits out against 'completely fabricated' relationship rumours
Rylan Clark has got some strong words for anyone claiming he is in a relationship.
The DJ’s last confirmed romance was with ex-husband Dan Neal, but the pair broke up last summer after six years of marriage.
Since then, rumours have swirled that the 33-year-old is dating Ex On The Beach star Declan Doyle.
After being pictured sharing a kiss in the street and dining at swanky restaurant Roka, Declan went on to supposedly confirm the budding romance.
In an interview on GB News in early July, Declan revealed: ‘It’s really early on, we are enjoying each other’s company, but it is going well.’
However, shortly after the comments were aired, the It Takes Two host played down speculation he was no longer a single man.
Speaking on his Radio 2 show, Rylan told co-host Sally Boazman (aka Sally Traffic): ‘I love it how I read in the paper and find things out about myself.’
‘I’m single, and looking after myself,’ he insisted.
Now, Rylan has gone one step further to shut down talk of love, with his PR team publishing a strong statement on the star’s Twitter account.
Addressing ‘made up stories’, the tweet said: ‘We, nor Rylan, wish to comment on his private life. However, on this occasion we feel we need to.
‘There is absolutely no truth to this story or the many other stories that have run about this apparent ‘relationship’ in the past few weeks.
‘Rylan is single and lives on his own. Any reports to the contrary are completely fabricated.’
The post was captioned by Rylan himself with a simple: ‘Ridiculous.’
While Rylan has no love life to speak of at the moment, he has been open about the fallout of his relationship breakdown with Dan.
In the aftermath of his split, six-foot-four Rylan previously revealed he became very ill and lost a lot of weight, and mum Linda was really worried about him.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Rylan revealed his mum was his absolute rock during his ‘toughest’ year and helped him through the heartbreak.
After initially taking time out of work commitments, Rylan bounced back and has published a book TEN, which marks a decade in the entertainment industry.
