The second star has been given the boot from I'm A Celebrity 2022, with Scarlette Douglas in floods of tears as she was told she'd be going home, with the result coming as a huge shock to the whole camp.

After they were given an unexpected reprieve from eliminations on Saturday night, the campmates once again were put up for the public vote again on Sunday, with the I'm A Celebrity final now just a week away. And, after Loose Women presenter Charlene White was the first to go on Friday, as Matt Hancock defied expectations to survive the chop, A Place in the Sun presenter Scarlette followed her out of camp as the second celeb to get her marching orders.

Former Health Secretary Hancock again looked shocked at being told by hosts Ant and Dec that he was safe, while viewers at home were alarmed when Gogglebox star and comedian Babatunde Aleshe was told he 'might' be going home. In the end though it was Scarlette who got the boot, with Babatunde looking upset at the result as a collective gasp sounded around the camp.

Scarlette then burst into tears as she said her goodbyes to her co-stars, and was very honest with Ant and Dec about how devastated she was when she joined the Geordie duo for her exit interview, telling them straight away: "I'm absolutely gutted. I'm not even going to lie about it. I know some people wanted to leave but I'm not ready to go yet."

She added: "I wanted to stay as long as possible, because those people are amazing and the jungle is incredible."

Ant informed Scarlette that there were tissues on hand, should she start crying again and, she nearly did after being shown her best bits.
