Scotland's papers: 'Hospital blunders' and 'minister for arrogance'

The Sunday Mail’s top story is about an alleged rapist who was spared a criminal conviction under controversial diversion from prosecution guidelines. The paper says the teenager was investigated by police and charged with a serious sex attack on a 17-year-old girl but was then handed a “diversion from prosecution” because of his age and had his criminal proceedings scrapped. Last week the victim, who was prepared to give evidence in court after a review of the entire policy, was told there would be no further action against the now 18-year-old rape accused, and has told the paper it was like “being raped again”.
