Now London’s BFI is celebrating the work of Sir Horace Ové – a pioneering photographer, film-maker and social activist – who brought the lives of Black people in Britain to mainstream television and film.

Ove, who died in September at the age of 86 – was the first Black British director of a full-length feature film.

Pressure has just been re-released in tribute to his groundbreaking work.
