Stacey Solomon welcomes baby girl on her birthday and says 'best present ever'

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have welcomed their first daughter.

The Loose Women star took to Instagram to share the happy news and post the first snaps of the new baby.

The Loose Women panellist revealed that she gave birth on her 32nd birthday as she shared the news on social media.

Sharing a first glimpse of her newborn, Stacey wrote: "So to my family on here. Yesterday I got the best birthday present I could have wished for."

The little one is the youngest sister of Stacey and Joe's two-year-old son Rex and Stacey's boys Leighton, nine, and Zacheray, 13, and Joe's son Harry, 14.

Stacey had been keeping fans updated on her pregnancy since she and Joe made their announcement back in June.

"We are growing another pickle. We’ve never felt so grateful... I have no words," an excited Stacey shared at the time.

"We didn’t think we would get the chance. We love you all to the moon and back.

"Lots of love From Me, Joe, Harry, Zach, Leighton, Rex, and our little pickle."

Stacey also shared that she and Joe had endured a number of heartbreaking miscarriages in their journey to expand their family.

A few weeks later, Stacey confirmed she was having a baby girl.

"Baby Girl, I can not believe I’m writing this…We are growing a little baby girl," she told fans.

"To our darling boys, you are the best big brothers anyone could wish for and your little sister is the luckiest girl in the world to have you all by her side. I honestly have no words…

"Mummy Daddy and ALL of your big brothers can not wait to meet you little one…

"We love you so so much already darling girl."

The family have been busy preparing the nursery for their baby girl and Stacey had been updating her 4.6 million followers on Instagram on its progress.

When she completed it, Stacey took to social media to show off the results, which included a beautiful pink flower wall, a stunning pink velvet chair and an equally pastel pink wardrobe.

"To my Darling daughter, I’ve loved every single second of making this special place for you," she shared.

"My whole heart, and soul is in this room and I would do it all again if I could. I can not wait to bring you home here and show you everything. I can not wait to hold you, cuddle you, sing to you, feed you and put you to bed in here.



"I’m so proud of everything in here and it’s been the best feeling making it and I’ll miss being covered in pink paint. We can not wait to see you little one. To the moon and stars and back again princess, we love you."

It's been a whirlwind year for Stacey and Joe, who moved into 'Pickle Cottage', their forever family home.

They have also been planning their upcoming wedding after getting engaged at Christmas last year.

Joe suprised Stacey by getting down on one knee on a romantic woodland walk.

They were planning to tie the knot this summer but were forced to postpone the date after Stacey discovered she was pregnant.

The couple have since said they will get married next year when their daughter can be flower girl at the ceremony.
