Everybody needs good Neighbours… alas, our time with the hit Australian soap is at an end.

Yep, after 37 years on air, the adventures of Erinsborough’s residents will no longer be broadcast – following the soap’s devastating axe announced in March 2022.

We’ve still got the finale to come tomorrow, starring the current cast wrapping up their storylines, along with some familiar and very famous faces joining them to say goodbye.

So, which stars can we expect to see in the Neighbours finale?

Which celebrities are returning for the final episode of Neighbours? The full list

There are 33 stars in total set to return, or at least that’s the number revealed so far.

Fan favourite character actors, and performers who’ve since gone on to become global superstars will be joining up to step foot on Ramsay Street for the final time, helping to send off the soap in style.

Let’s take a look at that list in closer detail…

Or as fans will know them… Charlene Mitchell and Scott Robinson.

The return of popstar Kylie Minogue and performer Jason Donovan, both 54, is sure to bring on some serious nostalgia for anyone who watched Neighbours in the 1980s.

Scott and Charlene’s wedding episode, which aired in July 1987, has become an iconic memory of the show.

Almost 20 million Brits tuned in to see the couple get hitched, it’s been reported.

In the finale trailer, we see them still together, arms around each other, as they return to Ramsay Street one last time. It’s sure to be incredibly memorable for fans.

It wasn’t too long ago that Harley Quinn actress Margot, 32, was in Neighbours.

She left the soap back in 2011, in order to pursue a career in Hollywood – a plan that paid off big time, given her early success with 2013 flick The Wolf of Wall Street.

Alas, Neighbours fans will know her as Donna Freedman, a regular fixture in the late 2010s who married Ringo Brown (Sam Clark) – before he was tragically killed just a month after the wedding.

Movie fans will know Guy best from Memento, Iron Man 3, LA Confidential and The Hurt Locker.

But little do they know that the actor, 54, got his start on the beloved Australian soap, playing character Mike Young – who appeared around the same time as Scott and Charlene.

In a recent interview, Guy called the show’s end ‘sad’ and said that being back on Ramsay Street was ‘surreal’.

He added that he’s still good pals with Jason and Kylie to this day, as well other castmates, confessing: ‘Jason and I see each other all the time, and we still call each other Scott and Mike which is a bit sad.’

You’ll spot Guy in episodes leading up to the finale too, reuniting with Mike’s former love Jane.

Both of these Neighbours alumni appeared on the soap in the 1990s, but they have another thing in common – they’re both singers.

Natalie played Beth Brennan on the show in the early 1990s, but made waves in 1997 with her debut single Torn and follow-up Big Mistake.

Her first album, Left Of The Middle, was released that year and became a smash, earning her three Grammy nominations.

Holly, meanwhile, played Felicity Scully from 1999 until 2002, and released her bop Kiss Kiss and album Footprints that same year – from which came two more top three singles.

Of course, the ending of Neighbours just wouldn’t be the same without some of its best known characters returning.

One of whom is, naturally, Harold Bishop – played by actor Ian Smith – who first appeared on the soap in 1987. He left in 1991, but returned in 1996, becoming a regular cast member until 2009.

Harold was one of the show’s longest-standing characters, and his return has been much awaited. Previously, Ian came back to the show in 2011 and 2015 for guest episodes.

But also back is Anne Charleston as Harold’s first wife, Madge Bishop – though only appearing as a ghost, as her character died from pancreatic cancer in 2001.
