The Masked Singer fans pick winner and convinced they've unmasked boyband star

Fans were enthralled by the sweet sound of a Rhino singing Try by pop superstar Pink on Saturday night's The Masked Singer. On the zany ITV guessing game, which sees celebs singing in elaborate disguises, the towering character with the powerhouse vocals stepped up to the microphone again while viewers and the star panel attempted to work out who they are.

However many fans are convinced they know exactly who is it, and won't hear otherwise as they thought they had recognised the voice and worked out the clues. They reckon Rhino is boyband star Charlie Simpson, of Busted and Fightstar fame.

@xemmasulway tweeted: "Rhino is Charlie Simpson and I will not hear otherwise." And @SarahLizzie94 said: "Nobody can convince me otherwise that Rhino is Charlie Simpson; break through, new York, stars for fightstar."

@ewohegroeg said: "Rhino is a sheriff? Sheriffs arrest people? Meaning they're BUSTED. It's Charlie from Busted." And @xKellieLou echoed: "Rhino has to be Charlie Simpson if it's not I'll be surprised."

@tummy2mummyblog wrote: "Charlie Simpson is Rhino #TheMaskedSinger if you know, you know." And @Jade_Gatiss13 said: "@MaskedSingerUK RHINO IS DEFINITELY @CharlieSimpson I know that voice."

Others have picked out Rhino to win the entire competition, which is in its fourth series. @Nikssssss enthused: "Whoever Rhino is has to WIN!!!" @moirangus wrote: "#TheMaskedSinger winner has to be #Rhino. 2 brilliant performances from him...if he doesn’t win, it will be daylight robbery." And @becckss typed: "I just love Charlie Simpson so much so rhino better win."

Charlie, 37, shot to fame as a member of multi-BRIT Award-winning band Busted formed in 2000, with Matt Willis and James Bourne, and he went on to become lead singer and rhythm guitarist in the rock band Fightstar.

In 2013 Matt and James announced plans to tour together with McFly as the supergroup McBusted in 2014. The following year it was revealed that Charlie had rejoined Busted.
