Vicky McClure shows off new hair on Loose Women

Nottingham actress Vicky McClure showed off her "stunning" new hair as she appeared on Loose Women. The Line of Duty star showed off her new hairstyle on the ITV panel programme on Tuesday, October 4.

The actress, known for her role as DI Kate Fleming in the BBC drama, appeared on the daytime show to discuss dementia funding and awareness of the disease. Birmingham Live reports Vicky called dementia an “almost a forgotten disease” and that she was “really scared” about those grappling with care-costs.

Vicky, who formed her Dementia Choir in 2019 as part of a documentary for BBC One which examined the role that music can play in helping people living with the condition, said: “People’s response to the TV show has been phenomenal, but it’s also really frustrating because there’s still so little funding for people with dementia,” she said.

Vicky added: “I wish I could find a cure, but I can’t, so my mission is to create noise for people living with dementia. Dementia choirs are not only cost-effective, but they are also scientifically proven to help.”

She and the choir performed at Splendour Festival at Wollaton Park in July with special guest Tom Grennan. She also took part in the Alzheimer’s Society’s Nottingham Memory Walk.

Meanwhile, Loose Women viewers were quick to compliment her new hairstyle. Taking to social media, @aaabbb3 commented: "Vicky McClure looks great. The longer hair really suits her #loosewomen." Tim Mee said: "@Vicky_McClure I have to say, from a Derby lad to a Nottingham lass, I love your hair when I caught you on LW today."

Carol Jones added: "@loosewomen Vicky McClure looks absolutely stunning with longer hair and a flash of blonde! She was always attractive but the longer hair has added a bit of oomph!"
