Wayne Duplock, a popular TikTok star better known on the internet as Big Chubby, has sadly passed away this week.

His death was announced by his mother and partner in a TikTok video uploaded on Friday (November 26th).

Wayne Duplock is a British man who made videos on TikTok under the name Big Chubby.

His account has 618,000 followers at the time of his death and he was known for making comedic videos with his family.

The 38-year-old from Leicester, England, began making TikTok’s in 2020 and accumulated a total of 16.6 million likes.

He also posted videos and photos on Instagram under the name @big.chubby.family where he has 21,000 followers.

On Friday (November 26th), Wayne’s partner and mother took to his TikTok to post some devastating news.

They revealed in a video that Big Chubby passed away on Wednesday morning (November 24th).

“Hi, it’s taken us a long time to do this video, but from myself and from Wayne’s mum, we want to inform you that Big Chubby has passed away,” his partner said.

“It’s still very emotional for all of us at the moment and we want privacy and respect at this moment while we all grieve,” she added.

Wayne’s mother then revealed that on Sunday evening, they will be closing down Wayne’s TikTok account before saying:

“I’d like to thank around 80% of you for being there for him and everything you’ve done for him. You never knew the truth. Wayne was struggling, Wayne was in pain. He loved you all because you made him happy for those last few weeks and months of his life.”

“Please respect my son now and let him rest in peace,” she concluded.

How did he die?

Wayne sadly passed away after contracting Covid-19 and developing Pneumonia.

He was hospitalised earlier in November and had been documenting his journey on his TikTok and Instagram.

In total, he was in hospital in Leicester for 22 days before sadly passing away on November 24th.

Now, tributes are flooding Twitter and TikTok as fans express their condolences.

One person wrote on TikTok: “I’m so sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with you al. RIP Wayne.”

“Very sad news. May Wayne RIP. What a character he was❤️,” said another.

A third fan said: “Absolutely tragic. Wayne was one of the brightest beacons of positivity on this whole app. I’m so sorry for your loss. RIP.”
