Xbox just announced Halo Infinite multiplayer early - how to download
Xbox announced today that Halo Infinite's multiplayer will be released early.
The announcement was made via a stream celebrating the original Xbox console's 20th anniversary.
Halo Infinite has been one of the most highly-anticipated Xbox exclusives since the release of the Xbox Series S/X.
The game will be available on Xbox Series S/X and PC as players can start Season 1 of the multiplayer.
It comes alongside the announcement of a six-part documentary that will cover the chaotic story behind the creation of the original Xbox.
The stream also looked at some of the highlights of Xbox's history including the announcement of the original Xbox and the announcement of the Xbox 360.
The stream also featured Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who was also part of the original Xbox reveal which showed him alongside clips of him at the event 20 years ago.
Halo and all its titles have long been considered one of the core reasons that made the Xbox console a viable competitor against Sony's PlayStation which, by the time the Xbox was released, had already established itself in the gaming market.
How to download and play Halo Infinite on Xbox and PC
If you're downloading Halo Infinite from a compatible Xbox console you'll be able to find it in the Microsoft Store.
The good news is if you have Xbox Game Pass you don't have to pay a penny and can start downloading it right away.
Similarly, you can access the title via the Microsoft Store on PC with an Xbox Game Pass Unlimited subscription which allows you to play Game Pass title on any compatible PC running Windows.
It is also available in Steam by searching for Halo Infinite.
Otherwise, if you want the campaign included you'll have to fork out £54.99.
