The death toll following a flash flood in Libya has reached 3,000, with 10,000 feared dead, after a quarter of the coastal city of Derna was swept into the Mediterranean.
The city was engulfed by water in the early hours of Monday after the effects of Storm Daniel caused two dams to collapse, sending a torrent along a valley passing through its centre.
Video posted by residents showed entire neighbourhoods swept away.
