Could the eastern leg of HS2 be scrapped?
Ministers have insisted that levelling-up is "infused in everything the Government does", despite the expected decision to scrap part of the eastern leg of the HS2 rail link. It's thought the announcement will be made on Thursday about the proposals for the line between the Midlands and Leeds.
