Croydon teen stabbing: what we know so far
A teenage boy allegedly killed a 15-year-old girl as she “tried to protect her friend” in a morning rush-hour knife attack in south London. The schoolgirl, named locally as Eliyanna, was allegedly stabbed in the neck with a “really long knife”, a witness claimed. It is understood that the suspect tried to give his former girlfriend flowers on board a No 60 bus. Tensions are said to have flared when the group stepped off the bus. The alleged victim, believed to be of Nigerian descent and from a Christian family, is said to have intervened to calm the situation before being attacked.
