Daniel Khalife charged with escaping Wandsworth prison
Terror suspect Daniel Khalife has been charged with escaping from HMP Wandsworth, the Met Police has said. Former soldier, Khalife, escaped from on Wednesday morning by strapping himself to the bottom of a delivery lorry after leaving the prison kitchen in a cook’s uniform. After confirmed overnight sightings, the Met Police arrested Khalife on Saturday morning in west London. He is charged with escaping custody on September 6 while on remand at Wandsworth pending trial at the Old Bailey, contrary to common law and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
