The Labour Party wanted the Prime Minister to answer an Urgent Question in the House of Commons about lockdown-busting parties in Downing Street during the first lockdown. But instead Paymaster General Michael Ellis stood up in the House to respond. He said it was right that there should be an investigation into the events of May 2020. But Labour Deputy Leader Angela Rayner said the public had already drawn their own conclusion. She asked Mr Ellis if she continues to have confidence in Boris Johnson. His response? Yes I do.
