Edinburgh under water as floods sweep parts of Scotland

Edinburgh streets and homes went under water while the amber weather warning in eastern Scotland has been extended. Heavy rain has left several streets and crossroads blocked while people were trying to get home or work under the rain. The amber “heavy rain” alert, which has been extended until midnight, covers Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Angus and Perth, and Kinross. Authorities have warned that some fast-flowing or deep floodwater could likely “causing danger to life”. The flooding has lead to school closures and disruption on roads and railways.
