Family of murdered PC issue statement as her killer is jailed
The family of murdered PC Sharon Beshenivsky have issued a statement as her killer was jailed for life after 20 years. West Yorkshire Police Family Liaison Officer Linzie Holroyd read a statement outside Leeds Crown Court on behalf of Paul Beshenivsky, their children Lydia and Paul Jnr and new wife Michelle. it comes as Piran Ditta Khan was jailed for life with a minimum term of 40 years for Pc Beshenivsky’s murder after she was shot dead during an armed robbery in Bradford in 2005. He was the last member of the gang responsible for the armed raid that claimed her life and was convicted in April this year, after spending almost 15 years on the run. The 75-year-old was found guilty of murdering Pc Beshenivsky, as well as two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.
