Rishi Sunak appeared to defend Scottish writer JK Rowling today as he was questioned on her challenging the new SNP Hate Crime Law. The Prime Minister said: 'We should not be criminalising people saying common sense things about biological sex. Clearly, that isn't right.' This is after JK Rowling said she is "looking forward to being arrested” under new hate crime laws in Scotland after unleashing a flurry of sarcastic tweets ridiculing the bill. The Harry Potter author slated the Hate Crime Act, which finally came into force yesterday, in a social media post. - Contents of video: - 00:00 - We should not be criminalising people 00:30 - Do you support JK Rowling? 00:49 - Scotland could become 'most hateful' country END MORE SCOTTISH POLITICS: https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/politics/ Become a Scottish Sun Subscriber and hit the bell to be the first to know Read The Scottish Sun: http://www.theScottishsun.co.uk Like The Sun on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thescottishsun/ Follow The Sun on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ScottishSun #rishiSunak #humzaYousaf #politics #snp #scotland
