Home Secretary Suella Braverman arrived in Rwanda as the government's deal, which intends to deport people seeking asylum in the UK to be processed in Africa, has been stalled due to legal challenges. The plan was agreed in April 2022, but no person has yet faced the journey after a flight was stopped at the eleventh hour in June last year following an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
