Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said he will quit if given a fine by Durham police for breaking Covid rules. Is this move about principle or is he playing politics? Please subscribe HERE http://bit.ly/1rbfUog Keir Starmer has been under pressure after police announced a probe into an event in April 2021, when he had curry and beer at an MP's office during an election campaign visit. Newsnight’s political editor Nick Watt reports. Kirsty Wark is joined by shadow cabinet minister Baroness Smith, former adviser to Tony Blair John McTernan and former adviser to Boris Johnson, Jo Tanner. #Newsnight #BBCNews #BBC Newsnight is the BBC's flagship news and current affairs TV programme - with analysis, debate, exclusives, and robust interviews.
