Keir Starmer promises planning reform and ‘a new business model’ for Britain
In a speech to the British Chambers of Commerce, the Labour leader will promise to make “tough choices but the right choices” when it comes to the UK’s planning system. Starmer will attempt to capitalise on Tory failures over the housing crisis after Rishi Sunak bowed to pressure from his own MPs to scrap house-building targets last year. It comes as Housing Secretary Michael Gove was forced to admit there "simply aren't enough homes" in Britain.
