'Mass plague of fish' washed ashore after Kakhovka dam destruction

Thousands of fish can be seen flopping on the shore after the demolition of the Kakhovka dam in Southern Ukraine. Andriy Yermak, chief of staff to the Ukrainian president, described the scenes as a “mass plague of fish due to the terroristic destruction” of the structure and its hydro-electric power plant. The fish were found scattered on the shores of Maryanske, a village in the Dnipropetrovsk region, just downstream from the Kakhovka reservoir that was unleashed when the dam was breached.
