Migrants in Calais say the deaths of those in the Channel on Wednesday will not act as a deterrent to others wanting to come to the UK. Authorities in the UK and France have been talking to each other on what can be done to ease the ongoing crisis. A day after 27 drowned off the coast of Calais, another 40 people arrived by boat on Kent’s shores. A storm is expected to prevent further crossings in coming days. But in the long-term, the crossings are likely to continue.
